Last week's trip to visit Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was fast and furious.
We had a lot of ground to cover in a little over 24 hours.
First, we met with Dr. Ochs, who wanted to run some additional tests on Hunter.
Obviously, he was less than thrilled with yet another blood draw.
Then, we met with the head of SCCA's transplant program, Dr. Ann Woolfrey, and members of her team.
Lastly, we toured both the inpatient and outpatient facilities.
We remain very impressed.
Seeing it in person makes a difficult decision much easier ...
We've decided that Hunter's transplant will take place in Seattle.
How could we decide against the number one transplant center in the United States?

Transplant in Seattle???
We recently had two phone consultations with Dr. Lauri Burroughs from the Fred Hutchinson Transplant program at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. We learned a lot about the center and scheduled a consultation with their team on Tuesday, June 16th at 10:00 am.
We are strongly considering Seattle's program, however, we will wait until after our consultation with them to make a final decision. We have heard a lot of positive aspects about SCCA. I look forward to seeing it for myself.
